Verified UE 5.8 visual QA
A real NameFrame capture in Unreal Engine 5.8.1: the Studio controls, Ultra Dynamic Sky configuration, viewport preview, RGB, boxes, instance masks and depth.
The D3D12 capture completed all frames. The complete NameFrame Automation
filter passed 27/27 with no warnings, and the offline dataset validator scored 93.3.
Weather policy#
This run used placed Ultra Dynamic Sky and Ultra Dynamic Weather actors. NameFrame's experimental built-in weather was switched off. Future public visual evidence should use UDS/UDW or no weather until the built-in driver has its own approved visual test.
Studio and viewport#
The Preview overlay button created 111 transient preview actors. The viewport shows the actors, accepted spacing footprints and debug bounds; the test project was closed without saving those actors into the map.
Captured outputs#

What was checked#
| Layer | Result |
|---|---|
| Unreal capture | 12/12 frames; all final viewpoints accepted |
| Raw verification | Schema, deterministic labels, ID colours, pixels vs transforms, visible people and ground contact passed |
| Dataset validation | 12 images, 144 instances, YOLO + COCO, 93.3 / A |
| Native Automation | 27 passed, 0 warnings, 0 failed, 0 not run |
| Python regression | 590 tests + 102 subtests passed |
The score lost 6.7 points only to the deliberately imbalanced four-class showcase distribution. There were no corrupt, black, blurry, underexposed, overexposed, duplicate, missing-label, invalid-class, out-of-bounds or degenerate-box findings.
This proves one map, recipe, plugin build and machine. Clean-machine installation, multi-camera calibration, full same-seed D3D12 replay, external evaluator and customer evidence remain separate gates.
